Showpad Coach
Introduction
In 2018, Showpad acquired a learning software called LearnCore in order to change the landscape of Sales Enablement. It was a large cross-functional effort to integrate and redesign the UX, UI, and framework of LearnCore. Over a series of months we achieved this challenge with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams. We transformed LearnCore into Showpad Coach, a new product line offered to existing and new Showpad Customers.
My Role
I served as the lead product designer for the full integration.
The Challenge
How do we fully integrate an existing platform while overhauling UX, UI, and framework? A hard deadline of several months for the first release.

Interviews
Before I got started on design my team and I interviewed both existing Showpad and existing LearnCore customers. Our goal was to understand our user’s pain points and how we could solve them. We conducted dozens of interviews and discovered several issues that our customers experienced with the learning platform. We decided that the entire learner experience UX/UI needed a full overhaul in order to solve for these issues. For managers, we decided to develop a new concept called the Manager Hub — a place where managers could easily review, manager, and take action for the courses and users that report to them.
Competitive Analysis
Before starting design my I researched a number of competitors in the learning space. I looked at the full experience to get a better understanding of UX patterns, concepts, UI styling and interaction. I learned what works well and what missed the mark. Taking these new learnings, I applied it to design and product to come up with the best possible experience for our customers.
Design Iterations
Throughout the design process, I performed multiple usability tests to develop the designs further. Each screen was redesigned and iterated upon until the team felt like we landed in the right place. We tested the designs from low fidelity sketches to hi fidelity prototypes.
